Energy savings
The Air Recovery System.
PET bottles are produced using dry compressed air supplied from compressors at a pressure of about 40 bars (580 psi). These compressors absorb a great deal of electricity. The Air Recovery System allows for significant reduction in the volume of air used for blow moulding PET bottles, with very large savings in electrical consumption as a result.
Advantages
- Savings can exceed 50% of the original amount of air used by the bottle blowing process;
- significant economical savings from the reduction of electricity consumption by the compressor;
- possibility to install new blowmolders with no need of investing in new compressors;
- possibility of closing down some compressors, resulting in maintenance costs savings;
- space saving in your factory thanks to the lower number of compressors installed;
- shorter payback period, depending on electricity costs, bottle volume and production rates;
- overall savings on production costs.
Plus points
- The ARS air recycling system can be installed on any old or new generation of blowmolders currently available: SIDEL, SIPA, KRONES, SIG, SMI, NISSEI;
- the ARS System does not interferes on cycle times or on machine process. As a result, bottles can be produced at the same rate without any drops in production or quality;
- the ARS System can be installed quickly, without major modifications to the blowmolder. Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician;
- the ARS air recycling system can be disconnected without affecting the machine process;
- the ARS System is completely independent of the blower unit, both mechanically and electrically;
- the ARS System is either managed mechanically or by its own electronic system, depending on the configuration of the blowmolder unit;
- measurements: using a flowmeter, the air consumption con be measured before and after installation so as to demonstrate the increased efficiency and savings achieved with the Air Recycling System.
