Molds
PET Hot Runner Systems.
No maintenance on Hot Runner Systems
The company developed its first valve-gated PET hot runner in 1993. Since then, continuos design improvements have been added, making our hot runners systems probably the best in the market.
Engineering design starts with melt flow simulation; then Finite Element Analisys is used to perfectly calibrate the thermal profile of the system.
The heating technology is custom-built on our specifications by our sister company IRCA, while the use of titanium spacers isolate the hot part from the cooled plates to minimize energy consumption.
SIPA Molds hot runner systems deliver:
- 5 million cycles without maintenance (achieved with our DustBusterâ„¢ technology);
- dual-piece melt bushing technology to minimize AA and IV drop;
- special surface treatment of melt channels to reduce melt shear rate;
- proprietary nozzle technology for achieving 5 million cycles;
- perfect thermal insulation of the piston area to drastically improve seal life.
